Hut Construction. There were about twenty ten inch huts required for the mid section of the tree city model, it made sense to sculpt the hut shape out of clay then make a rubber latex negative mould to mass produce the amount of huts needed.
A Fiberglass mould was used to take a latex cast of the hut model.
The huts were all the same but staining and plant growth would make each one slightly different from one another.
Tree City Perspective Test. The first test was the for the layout of the city to see if the perspective worked correctly. The second test was the huts and their positioning, the clay sculptures were used first to make sure that the ten inch huts worked with the four inch ones behind them.
